We personally love this place, we were regulars here months before we even started talking to them about video projects.

The Challenge

Voodoo Brewing initially reached out for a single promotional video to capture a chalk artist creating a custom mural on their windows — a fun, moment-in-time activation meant to bring attention to the brewery.

 

The challenge wasn’t execution: it was opportunity.

 

A one-off video would capture the art, but it wouldn’t fully express what makes Voodoo special:
their personality, their people, and the community they’ve built around the brand.

The Creative Pivot

Instead of producing a single standalone Reel, we identified an opportunity to elevate the moment into a brand story.

 

We reframed the ask from “documenting chalk art” to “using the art as a narrative anchor” and expanded the concept into a 3-part organic social video series:

 

  • A two-part cinematic feature highlighting the chalk art process and co-ower, Betsy’s personal love for local artists. 

  • A third video centered on one of the owners, James, sharing the brewery’s deeper mission: building community through craft beer and great food.

This shift allowed the content to live longer, feel more intentional, and connect emotionally.
